BOAT BIZ | "Seal"–a Block Island 40

"Seal", a Block Island 40.

July 3, 2016–Today Alice and I went for a short ceremonial boat trip for the blessing (along with many others) of a boat that was built in 1957 and was just purchased by its newest owner.

Next year the boat will be 60 years old.

The 40-foot boat is called "Seal" and was the first fiberglass Block Island 40 that was built. 

She was completely refitted in 2005 at the Pendleton Yard on Isleboro, Maine. Every system was removed and most of the interior joiner work replaced new, along with a new Volvo engine, and many new winches, tanks, and wiring.
